31,500 for a sweet looking bronco build.
New 4.6 cobra crate motor, loving the gray as well.

Damn that Bronco is sexy. I'm hesitant to say NP, though. It's certainly not a CP though. Far from a CP.

That is a well made Bronco, I would not hesitate to offer 25k for it but not to sure I would pay 31k.

Yeah, I would love to be able to go see it in person. Maybe have 27 with me, just to keep myself in check. Mighty fine looking though.

Right there on the border, isn't it? And she looks good in grey.

It's surprisingly good-looking, makes it much harder to decide.

I hope he gets it. Would make mine worth about 65K.
I do like that color, but just based on the craigslist pictures the quality of the build doesn't look all that great, especially in the dash and steering wheel. Maybe with more documentation on the build he could get 25, but that would still be pretty high.

Well I don't think you could source a good Bronc and do it yourself for 30k So it would appear that just going by the pictures and description it's a reasonable asking price.

Do you think one could be built just like it for less than 30 grand? A lot would depend on the axles and suspension, as you know you can sink an endless amount just into that. I think the interior looks pretty good. Simple and functional. How is yours setup? Do you have pics. I've always liked these old Broncos and would prefer one to an older Jeep.

I feel like I've seen this truck before
it really needs a eaton M112 blower off a terminator. 4v's N/A are high revving engines with no low end torque, not ideal for a truck.

because racetruck! But yeah, you would end up with the S2000 of offroaders. But at the same time, it's gotta be pretty light, so I can see how it would work.

30 grand could be possible if you started off with a good body, rust is the main issue with these old trucks and you could spend half that in rust repair and body panels if it is a mess. That wouldn't leave much money for drivetrain and interior.
I liked the interior seats, it was just the later model steering column and wheel that makes it look unprofessional, plus the gauges. It was obvious he had that column sitting around or picked it up from a junkyard and used it in place of the original or an aftermarket repro one. Those steering columns aren't that expensive from any of the Early Bronco sources, and if they really spent 50+k on the resto why not spend the extra couple hundred for the right steering column. So the fact that he cut a corner there makes me wonder where else some corners may have been cut. Same thing with the gauges, I love a simple gauge cluster that has just what you need and nothing more. That's why I love these old trucks, very utilitarian. The fact that they went with the Auto Meter gauges instead of an original cluster or repro cluster makes the value drop significantly because someone looking to spend 30K on a truck is going to want something pretty original, not something they need to do work to to make original. Unfortunately the collector market for vintage SUVs has risen substantially recently, making the price of these cool old trucks skyrocket.
Were you thinking of buying this Bronco? Did you see the original Stroppe Bronco that was posted for sale here a few days ago? I wonder what that sold for, would be a good indication of what this one is worth. Good luck with the search! I am looking for an old Scout 80 or 800, but goods ones are becoming very hard to find.
This is my truck, it's not stock either.
Here is one where it met a friend in the parking lot:
and a before pic of when I bought it:

Great pics, I'm not really in the market for anything right now, just curious. I see what you mean about the column and stuff. I had assumed that was just the factory unit but what you say about cutting corners makes perfect sense. When the time comes for me I'll do all the work myself on it.
